Whether used as a traditional stereo speaker or a front speaker in a comprehensive surround sound system, each BIC America Venturi DV64 two-way tower speaker is designed for high performance. The speaker features dual 6.5-inch poly/graphite woofers and dual passive radiators to ensure impressive mid tones and extra bass extension. Meanwhile, the 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter reproduces the high frequencies with confident, silky results, creating a frequency response of 29 Hz to 21 kHz. In addition, the DV64 speaker is powerful enough for almost any application, with a maximum recommended amplifier power of 200 watts and a minimum of 10 watts. Listeners will also appreciate the speaker's elegant appearance, which is topped off by the gracefully tall profile and black laminate finish. For stereo applications, listeners should purchase two DV64s, but for surround sound applications, the speakers perform particularly well when matched with other BIC America models, which are tonally matched to deliver a balanced audio profile. The company recommends using its DV62si speakers for the rear channels, the DV62CLR-S as the center speaker, and the V1215 subwoofer for top-level bass performance. All the speakers in the DV line are magnetically shielded to prevent video interference when located near a TV or monitor. I ordered these speakers after reading all the great reviews because i was wanting to upgrade my HT and I have to say I am a little let down. They don't sound bad by any means but not as good as I was expecting. They are paired with a BIC H100 sub and a DV62CLRS. I moved my pair of sony SS-F6000 to the rear from the front as did not see much of an upgrade if at all. I waited a few months to write this review because I was hoping they would wear in and come around to my liking but they never have. I would recommend trying to find a place to listen to them before you buy them.

I just received these speakers about a week ago, and I am blown away by the clarity and bass that these speakers produce. I did a little research before buying these cause they seemed a little too good to be true. High quality speakers for under $150 is almost unheard of, but these deliver. Im not much of an audiophile, but I am very picky about how my music sounds, and these speakers produce beautiful sounds. I have them paired with 2 DV62si bookshelf speakers, and they fill my room with sound. Watching movies, playing video games and listening to music is so much better than before.

These speakers are very good for home theater use & have especially good bass response & blend very well with my subwoofer(Hsu Research STF2)! Unfortunately they don't shine as well with music as I had hoped!These are my first set of tower speakers & I've only owned them for 2 months so maybe this review is a little premature as some people believe speakers need more time to "break in"!I play music at very high volumes most of the time if the wife's not home & question how much time speakers really need for a break in period!Anyway these speakers are an excellent value for movies especially Blu-Ray,but seem a little power hungry when it comes to music.They have a solid build quality & look nice but are not pretty.They're built like they have a job to do & they do it well for this price!

Don't let the product images fool you. These speakers are nice and slender, look beautiful and have a small "footprint," so they will fit just about anywhere. As other reviewers have said, 30-40 listening hours loosens the speakers up and that is where they really shine. Beautiful sound, even at low volumes. The speakers are very well built - Very sturdy. Readily accept "banana plugs" (which I highly recommend you take the time to use). Even in other parts of the house, the stereo sounds good. Really good. I use it primarily for listening to music of all genres, from 70s funk and classic rock to metalcore, hip hop, dubstep, and 60's country tunes. Best speaker for the money. Plus, they are magnetically shielded, so you can have them near your televisions without worry.
