Stands are very stable and fit my Panasonic HTiB rear speakers perfectly. I was a little worried that the cast iron base would scratch my hardwood floor but they came nicely padded. The actual titanium color is much darker than the picture....almost close to a black finish (graphite). I've spent much more money on other stands that I've had to fiddle with for hours to get the right setup...these were good straight out of the box and work perfectly. You will not be disappointed!

I can see problems if your speakers are bigger then I would not recommend these.

These work fine (as I write this, it tells me that I am reviewing the titanium version, but I actually bought the black). The extension feature works just like a microphone stand, if you've ever operated one of those ... I wanted to use them fully extended, and they don't stay straight when fully extended (there is a slight kink in the middle because of the minimal overlap between the two sections of tubing), but it's not too noticable with the stand placed in the corner. I expected that I would have to get "custom" hardware to attach my speakers, which was correct. Running the wire up the tube portion of the stand keeps things nice and neat. The base is heavy enough to keep the stand stable on carpet with my smallish satellite speakers.

I'm not going to lie. This purchase has fulfilled it's intentions and it is of the highest quality, I'm honestly not sure why I have waited so long to purchase them. My only concern has to do with the mounting hardware. Since this is a universal application, not all sizes are quite compatible with this stand. While I had to confide in the creative genius side of me, all was well after a hour or so of modification. My speaker was too tall for the mounting bracket and I had to make it longer. Simple mod and having a more universal mounting hardware would have caused me to rate this 5 stars.
All in all, these stands stand up to the competition very well !! I am very happy with this purchase.
