Product Description A masterpiece in design and performance, the Klipsch Synergy Series C-3 center channel speaker delivers clean, crisp dialogue together with dynamic impact to ensure audiences get the most out of their home theater experience. Available in a black finish with titanium accents, the C-3 offers two different contemporary looks: with its grille on, its elegance blends nicely with any home décor; with the grille off, it makes an aggressive, powerful statement.
The two-way system uses a pair of 6.5" magnetically shielded woofers. A 1" magnetically shielded, aluminum-dome tweeter is coupled to a square Tractrix(R) Horn, to increase sensitivity and minimize room interactions that blur sonic detail. Bi-wire capability, allows the use of one or two speaker level inputs to improve connectivity. The C-3 offers a seamless, engaging soundstage that puts audiences in the middle of the action. By adding a center channel to your home theater system, you will transform songs into live concerts and movies into lifelike adventures.

Comment:
I wanted a center front speaker that was a sonic match to my F-3 Klipsch tower speakers, and it is all that. Nothing reproduces voices like a horn speaker, so this will help your middle-aged ears pick through the dialogue without having to resort to the dreaded "Closed Caption" button on occasion. Like all Klipsch, it returns a very high sound level for very little amplifier power, so maybe you are a bit "Green" after all! It is a honkin BIG speaker, so you'll have to get rid of those obsolete encyclopedias under the TV to make room.
Comment:
A little weak with the sound, I expected more from a
large center channel speaker, the c-2 is better.
Comment:
Yes, make room because it's big, but the sound is fantastic. If you have some of those movies where dialog is difficult to understand, this speaker will resolve the problem. And with Klipsch F-3's in front you may not need(or want) a subwoofer... at least that's what my friends said while watching several concerts on DVD. Plus, the price is only $200! I am so glad I chose to upgrade my system with Klipsch speakers.

Comment:
Even though I read other reviews about peoples surprise at how big the speaker was, I was still surprised when I opened the box. It's BIG. However, I personally like the look. I prefer it with the front panel off. Keeping in mind that I am not an expert or a sound technician, I find the sound quite impressive. I turned the volume up high and the only thing that felt like it would break was my ear drum. The sound remained clear without a hint of distortion. At low volume, the words still come through clearly. This speaker has definitely improved our movie watching experience. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and the price is unbeatable.

I have the matching fronts and surrounds and could not be more pleased with the results. You will never be disappointed with Klipsch for your theater surround set-up. With my 52 inch LCD Samsung and these speakers, I save the trouble of going to the theaters.
