Great Polk Product

Comment:
This is an amazing speaker for the price. It really brings out the details in movies. There are things going on in the background that you would have never known were there with a lesser quality speaker.

Very Happy with the CS10

Comment:
Several years ago, when I first purchased my first big-screen HDTV, I purchased an Infinity center-channel speaker and an Infinity self-powered sub to go along with my Energy front and rear speakers. I loved everything about my speakers except that I felt my center-channel was a little weak. Finally I was brave enough to buy a new center speaker, and I chose the Polk CS10 online for $99 (wow, what a buy!). This speaker is VERY good. Lots of full, forward sound with enough bass to help carry the frequency from the left-right speakers. Voices sound solid, full and realistic. Some people say this speaker is large, but I'm not sure what they are comparing it to. I don't see how anything smaller can produce the sound that this speaker produces. It fits on the shelf above my flat-screen perfectly.

Improved Nearly Every Voice

Comment:
Pros: Clear, bright sounds, with ample power
Cons: Difficult to place above certain televisions
Before purchasing this, I had a dinky small center channel speaker from a home-theatre-in-a-box set from 5 years ago. My side speakers had been upgraded, but when Surround Sound movies or TV shows played, the sound of voices (typically sent to the center channel) seemed muted and dull. Now the center channel output, particularly voices, are well-rendered and are not overpowered by the left and right floorstanding speakers. This speaker fit quite well below my tV in a sliding drawer in my console, but wouldn't easily rest atop most televisions and would be difficult if not wholly impractical to mount.

CS10 at a great price

Comment:
This center channel is very nice IMO. The size of the speaker itself is BIG. I have read from other reviews, that it is a big center channel but really didn't know until i took it out of the box. The cherry color on the picture was not too appealing, but seeing it in person, it is VERY NICE. I am currently upgrading from an "In Box" setup, and this speaker is a very nice speaker for the price by all means. Sound is nice not too "bassy" and crisp, while i am not an audiophile, i do know what my ears like and i can't beat this sound for the price. I love this speaker.

Awesome Center Speaker!

Comment:
I'm on a limited budget and I can't spend hundreds of dollars on a center speaker right now. Although the Polk CS10 is low-end, it's a quality center speaker. It's crisp, very clear, beautifully made and professional looking. I'm upgrading my system and this speaker is a welcome addition. This is a pretty big speaker. It's three times bigger than the Sony center speaker that I own and sounds a whole lot better too. This speaker is used with my two Polk Audio 50 floorstanding speakers, STR-DH800 receiver, SONY high-end blu-ray player (wireless). In a few weeks I plan to get the Polk Audio subwoofer (haven't decided which one yet) and four more Polk Audio 50s floor standing speakers to complete my 7.1 surround sound system. I haven't compared this center speaker with many others, but it sounds way better than the one I own and I have a good ear for what sounds good.
My advice: If you want to get with a name brand you can trust that won't break the bank, you can't go wrong with this center speaker.
