At least in my experience. After my old KLH (cheap, I know) that I had since college stopped working, I decided to get something a bit better. Works great with our Sony Sub woofer, Yamaha surrounds, and yes, still my old RCA receiver dating back to when Dolby Digital was first available. with the angle to the box, a bit tight under our 73" Mits DLP stand but dialog sounds like it is coming right from the screen. Definitely much clearer than the KLH, but what wouldn't be, right?

Excellent dialogue reproduction. Quality components and handsome design. Larger than one would think. Excellent value. Recommended. I've owned for more than two years and under near constant use, this speaker still looks and sounds new.

The first thing I noticed, is that this is a large well built speaker. Looks good on the fireplace mantel just below the flat screen TV. When I first fired it up, the speaker produced clear music and vocals from a CD. It passed the movie test when I played the independence day DVD to see how it performed in 5.1 surround, it produced crisp and clear dialog from the actors. A good center channel speaker makes a big difference in the movie viewing experience. If you want an affordable yet quality center channel speaker the Polk CS10 is the way to go.

I can't say much more than has already been said about this really great product. This was my very first Polk speaker and I'm amazed at the extremely good sound quality and its beautiful design. I'm like another customer here as I replaced a small Sony center speaker with this one and what a difference! Nothing against the Sony brand but that particular model was far less superior than Polk's CS10, hands-down. I did some research and this was high on my list but as soon as I saw those beautiful polished sides and silver speakers inside, I was convinced which one I wanted, but the best surprise was the theater-like quality rich sound. This really will show off your surround system and will impress you like when you heard a sub-woofer for the very first time. It may be big but it gets the job done and is just as big in sound and looks and won't clean out your wallet.
